Vegan Chana Masala Recipe

  • Cook Time: 20 minutes
  • Total Time: 30 minutes

Instructions

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the vegetable oil.
  • Cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Cook for another minute after adding the garlic and ginger.
  • Cook for another minute after adding the tomato paste, cumin, coriander, turmeric, cayenne pepper, garam masala, salt, and black pepper.
  • Bring the chickpeas and water to a simmer.
  • Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly and the chickpeas are heated through.
  • Serve with lime wedges and the chopped cilantro.
