Instructions

  • Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Sauté the onions and garlic until softened.
  • Add the mushrooms, ginger, salt, and black pepper to taste.
  • Cook until the mushrooms are tender and the liquid has evaporated.
  • Combine soy sauce and cornstarch in a small bowl.
  • Stir the mixture into the pan until the sauce thickens.
  • Remove the pan from the heat after adding the scallions.
  • Place dumpling wrappers on a clean surface and spoon a spoonful of filling into the center of each wrapper.
  • Pinch the edges of the wrapper together to seal the filling inside.
  • Bring water to a boil in a pot.
  • Cook until the dumplings float to the surface, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon and serve immediately.
