Vegan Fried Tofu Recipe

This Vegan Fried Tofu recipe is a quick and easy way to make crispy on the outside, soft on the inside tofu. The tofu has a crunchy texture thanks to the cornstarch coating, and the spices add a flavorful kick. Serve as a snack or toss into stir-fries or salads.

Ingredients

Time Needed

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 10 minutes
  • Total Time: 20 minutes

Instructions

  • Tofu should be cut into bite-sized cubes.
  • Combine the cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.
  • To coat the tofu cubes, toss them in the cornstarch mixture.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the vegetable oil.
  • Cook, stirring occasionally, until the tofu cubes are golden brown and crispy on all sides, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  • With a slotted spoon, remove the tofu from the skillet and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb any excess oil.
  • While the tofu is still warm, serve it immediately.
